Bushfires have always been a part of Australia’s natural environment. However, they typically have a positive role to play in the management of the continent’s ecology. The number of marsupials that have perished is beyond comprehension…….. latest estimate by scientists is a staggering “1.3 BILLION”

The National Parks authority are doing air-drops of foods for the stranded animals, all the time, and I understand this shall continue until there’s some significant regrowth, in those vast affected areas..

Poor Australia!!
BTW it was 110 degrees at the tennis tournament in Melbourne. First-world problem, I admit, but – can you imagine playing tennis in heat like that?

Global warming is out of control! I keep thinking about the footage of poor baby koalas drinking water from bottles as the vets tried to clean their singed fur. 😦

It’s quite scary with so many residents losing their homes. Also, the dense smoke is making it hard to breathe.
