Here are my answers to Cee’s Share Your World 2016 Week 46
Are you a traveler or a homebody?
A traveler!
What kind of TV commercial would you like to make? Describe it.
A remake of Vitameatavegamin starring myself! Although being a mermaid, I suppose I would have to call it Vitafishavegamin 😉
Describe yourself in a word that starts with the first letter of your name.
Magickal! (Although with all the horrible things going on world-wide, ‘morose’ might fit better on certain days.)
List some fun things for a rainy day.
Last year I recovered a second hand chair specifically for the purpose of reading. I love to read in a comfortable chair and drink hot cocoa.
Another thing I do on rainy days is diminish the chaos and organise things. Baking is also fun on cold, rainy days. So is watching documentaries and eating whatever I baked. And of course, drawing!
I always loved that funny Lucy commercial! I’d be happy to watch yours! 🙂

It took me a few months of just looking at the chair before I recovered it! Although I’ve been making some of my own clothes since I was a teen, I’ve never done anything like that before. I didn’t know how to make pattern pieces or anything. I was afraid of ruining the velvet fabric. It took a couple weeks to finish and I’m really happy the way it turned out 🙂

It looks absolutely fabulous and I LOVE the colour! I can say that with many years experiencing as the ‘quality controller’ when my husband had his own business as an Upholsterer… (he was a great one too.. ) – You’re upholstery looks amazing and I can’t believe this was a first attempt! Well Done xx

Thank you! I was on pins and needles (pun intended!) the whole time because I just had the one piece of velvet! 🙂

Thank you so much! It’s one of my favourite colours. After all, a Queen must have a proper throne 🙂

It’s the first chair of this kind that I’ve ever had so I really wanted to make it special. I couldn’t afford a Victorian fainting couch. 😀

What a beautiful chair! I love the color, too. It looks so soft. I understand your concerning with ruining the velvet. It can be very difficult to work with. It looks like you did a great job to me. 🙂
Have a blessed day. 🙂

Thank you! I surprised myself! But I will admit I never intend to do that again. It was too nerve-wracking. I had just enough fabric left to recover the seat on my desk chair. That was super easy.

And that little mouse-hole is too cool…

I painted that on the wall after a visitation from a cute little mouse the first Autumn I lived in this house. I think it must have accidentally taken a wrong turn and ended up in my parlour. I didn’t see it again until the following Spring. It was three times the size and racing through my kitchen. 🙂

I would love to have a few here & there on my walls. Unfortunately, I am not much of an artiste. 🙂
